New type of Pacemaker
April 17, 2009. ZHONGSHAN Hospital has implanted a new type of pacemaker on their patients. This new type of pacemaker is able to not only pace the heartbeats, but also monitor and transmit the information to patients’ doctors within five minutes.
Usually a pacemaker patient receives check-up once a year. The new pacemaker can warn doctors of abnormal heart function for faster intervention.
In face, new study says heart failure victims who get a new kind of pacemaker have only half the usual risk of being hospitalized with worsening heart trouble.
